The Scouting App is the easiest way for most families to track progress on the go.
Log In: Use your my.Scouting credentials.
Navigate to My Scouts: The app defaults to the Events page. Tap the My Scouts icon at the bottom of the screen.
Select Your Scout: Tap on the name of the Scout you are logging progress for.
Open Advancement: Tap the Advancement tab.
View Rank: Under your Scout’s current rank, tap See All.
Find the Adventure: Select the specific Adventure (e.g., "Bobcat" or "Paws on the Path").
Select Requirement: Tap the specific Requirement number your Scout finished.
Submit: Select the Date, then click Submit. This submits the record to your Den Leader for review and approval.
If you prefer using a desktop computer or a mobile browser, Scoutbook Plus provides the most detailed view of your Scout's progress.
Access: Go to advancements.scouting.org and log in with your my.Scouting credentials.
Toggle Your Role: Check the "Currently Viewing" section in the upper right-hand corner. Ensure you have selected the "Parent/Guardian" role for the specific Scout you are updating.
Go to Youth Profile: Select "Youth Profile" from the left-side navigation menu to see your Scout's specific advancement dashboard.
Find the Adventure: Click on the Rank icon (e.g., Wolf, Webelos) they are currently working on, then select the specific Adventure.
Log the Requirement: Click the individual requirement number you wish to update. A sidebar will open.
Save Progress: Enter the Date Completed in the sidebar and click Save.
Once you hit save, you will see a Green Checkmark next to that requirement. This indicates it is "Completed" but awaiting leader approval. Once a Den Leader or the Committee Chair reviews it, it will turn into a Blue Checkmark (Approved).
