On Android, you can trigger a full installation that puts Scoutbook+ in your app drawer alongside your other apps.
Open Chrome: Navigate to advancements.scouting.org.
The Banner: Look for a banner at the top or bottom of your screen that says "Add to Home Screen" or "Install" and tap it.
Manual Install: If you don't see the banner, tap the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of Chrome.
Step 1: Select "Add to home screen."
Step 2: A secondary prompt will appear. You MUST select Install.
Do NOT click "Create Shortcut" if that option appears. Selecting Install is what creates the standalone app experience. "Create Shortcut" will only result in a browser bookmark, which doesn't provide the clean, full-screen interface we need for leadership tasks.
Apple's Safari requires a manual process to add the app to your device:
Open Safari: Navigate to advancements.scouting.org.
Tap the Share Icon: This is the square with an arrow pointing up at the bottom of your screen.
Select "Add to Home Screen": Scroll down the menu and tap this option.
Confirm: Tap Add in the top-right corner. Scoutbook+ will now appear in your App Library and on your Home Screen.
Dedicated Space: Once installed, the browser navigation bars disappear, giving you more screen space to view the full Pack 101 roster.
Secure Access: The app works seamlessly with your phone's biometrics (FaceID/Fingerprint) to keep you logged in securely without re-typing your password at every meeting.
Easy Toggling: It makes it much faster to use the "Currently Viewing" toggle in the top-right corner to switch between your leadership tasks and your role as a parent for your own Scouts.
